CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the tutorial vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the primary Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Christ University may be a deemed private university. it’s the primary indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation in India. The University is specifically known for its undergraduate courses and has ranked among the highest ten for UG courses in surveys done by the India Today group.

Auditorium- There are variety of auditoriums within the University which have an outsized capaciousness with all modern amenities, barco and barco-lighting projector/camera.

Classrooms– the school rooms are spacious and equipped with latest audio-video equipment which facilitates interactive and modern learning and teaching.

Laboratories- Each department has its own set of laboratories which are well-equipped permanently practical learning along side theoretical learning.

Sports- The University has 7 basketball courts, 2 football/cricket field with 400 mm track, 3 throw-ball courts, 2 volleyball courts, 1 hockey field, 2 cricket net practising areas and 1 floodlit court .

Library- The University has 5 libraries. Each library is extremely well-stocked. All the libraries have an honest collection of textbooks, reference books, periodicals, journal archives etc. The libraries can accommodate quite 1000 students and have facilities like internet and Wifi services, symposium halls for conference , locker facility, computer lab, reprography facility, current affairs section etc.

Medical Facilities- The University provides medical facilities to students and staff. there’s a medical centre within the campus with qualified and experienced doctors and nurses. 24X7 ambulance service is provided.
